Superconductivity
Superconductivity cables have been produced at Temperature House by MICC Ltd. Diboride Conductors Ltd and MICC Ltd have signed a partnership agreement to jointly pursue a superconductivity industrial technology development project.
This superconductivity cable operates at low temperatures, and is designed for use in heavy electrical switchgear equipment & other applications. Magnesium Diboride superconducts below 39K and will normally operate at 20K achieved by using a commercial cryo cooler or liquid hydrogen.
